I am a culinary student who needs help redesigning her U-shaped kitchen. I need a prep area, a gas cooktop, and an area for two ovens. I need to keep the frig where it is, and I would like less cabinets.

Where can I go to figure this out? I don't have the money to pay a professional. Thanks for your help!

Many of the big box stores will help with design if you get cabinets there.
Does you school offer a design degree? Perhaps it could be a student project?

I think what mosternaz had in mind was find a design student through a mutual friend, host a nice dinner as payment for her quick look, measurements, and design sketches.
