I'm remodeling my bathroom and have an old tub and shower ( 1 piece enclosure) stall that I have decided to keep. What's the best way to bring it back to life? I want it to sparkle again!

There are epoxy tub recoat kits (that aren't very good) and franchises that do epoxy recoating (that are better but not perfect). At best, a recoat will give a new surface that is fairly durable but will have more of an orange peal surface rather than a perfectly smooth one like a new tub.

There are also tub inserts which frankly .... look like a tub insert.

If you want a worn tub and surround to look like a new one, you'll need to tear it out and install a new one.

        Plan on keeping the home?
Replace the whole thing or regret it for the rest of the time you own it.
        Been there done that.

I agree with both replies but please consider a walk in shower. None of us are getting any younger and it becomes a God sent later in life.

@Bankerboy59, if you want to make a bathroom makeover, you can always choose some nice tile. They are not very expensive you can find them in any size and color. If you already have old tiles on your bathroom walls and you don’t want to remove them, you can use a tile adhesive like Bondera Tile MatSet to stick the new ones over the old ones as long as they are in good condition. You can also use it for your bath and shower surrounds.
        Good luck!
