I have a built-in entertainment center that screams 1983, and doesn't fit my t.v. I'd love to knock it down. Has anyone tried this? Any pointers or suggestions? Cost? Thanks!!

Not anything that anyone can answer. It's a DIY board, so tear it out, take some pictures and see if anybody has some ideas. Too much depends on what is there now and how it's built to give any price estimates. Jaybee

It's done all the time. One way to save money may be to just date what you has not. Just about anything can be transfomed with just some stock moulding. http://www.bing.com/images/sea...nt+centers&FORM=IGRE joecaption

if it's hutch-y, you could convievably take out shelves as needed, use a pull-out HDTV mount, and refinish the cabinet as necessary to look more modern. depends, depends, and I don't mean adult diapers. need a picture with a tape measure in it to determine from way up here what might work. sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
