We are remodeling old church into a home, the floors are sloped in old sanctuary area. It is actually built that way, what would be the best way to level the floors? Would love to raise them from the basement so the ceiling is level down there also.
Probably time to get a pro in to take a look.
If the floors were built that way, then you can't just raise the floor without doing some structural damage. If it was built with a slope to it, you'll need to demo all the unlevel areas, reframe to level and refloor. Not an easy thing and certainly not anything that you can get decent advice for over the internet.
