I have a split-level home that was built in the 1950's with a brick facade. One wall of the brick (the front has 2 sections) was not pinned properly, per a structural engineer, and should come down or be fixed. I want it down but can not seem to get any help - trying to find a contractor has gone on since last May. How difficult would it be for my husband and I to take it down and re-side? The remainder of the house has cedar shingles that we would replace it with. I should tell you we re-did our kitchen by ourselves, except for the counter, which is silestone. Thank you.

Got a picture?
I'd be calling a mason on this one.
There going to have the saw to cut it, and know how to weave the trasition point back in so it will look right.
How do you plan on picking up and hauling away tons of brick, and where would you even take it if you remove this yourself?

Trying to get a picture - I'm not good with uploading pictures. Also, the re-siding would be cedar/wood/vinyl, so would I still need a mason for removal? Hadn't thought too much about hauling brick away - might even add patio to back if brick not destroyed. Thank you again.
