Hi Everyone, I've seen this new product that you can spray limestone on to any surface and be able to carve it to make it look like real stone. It's a Three Dimensional product not a plaster. There are many companiess out there who do this, such as Stone-Coat, but I've been searching the web all over and cannot find the product they are using or mixture of products. I want to be able to Do It Myself. I've found a few companies that manufacture it, but they havent given me any answers, they just say contact an installer in my area and maybe they will sell it to me. I'm also thinking many of these companies are just making their own mixture with hydrated lime and etc. If anyone knows where I can buy this product or mix it myself I'd appreciate it! They say it's 1/3 the price of Real Stone and Half the cost of stone veneer, but they still charge way too much for something most people can do themselves with practice!!http://stonecoat.com/This message has been edited. We've used a similar limestone coating in the past when we had our basement remodeled. We used this basement finishing outfit from KC , and after they laid the tiles down in the hearth of the basement, we decided to add a limestone glaze to the bathroom extension. It came out pretty well, and you're right, there are good deals out there. I believe we got the spray coating off of Ebay. | ||||
