        Hi,

We have an old small barn that is in good shape and we would like to start using as more than just storage.

The previous owners had a horse they kept in the lower level, yard equipment and car on the second,
and misc stuff and hay in the loft. What we'd like to do is start out with the lower level. I've removed the stall partitions and a portion of the old ceiling and I am in the process of cleaning out the old hay, sawdust, mouse skeletons, mouse poop, walnuts, spiders, etc. Once this is all cleaned out we are going to have a concrete floor poured after plumbing is installed.

What I'm wondering about is the best way to get rid of all the years of crud inside the barn? I've swept and brushed part, but it still seems it needs way more than that to get the cracks and crevices cleaned out especially the crud still left on the ceiling joists. Can we just use a power washer or should we avoid that on the old wood? Ive used a power washer on decks and treated lumber, but not this old wood.

        Thanks!!

Without at least a picture it's anyone guess.
You can see it, we can not.
With the right nozzle your idea should be fine, with out first having a floor in there it's going to be a muddy mess to work in.
