i have the "wally" brand wall decals
i want to remove them so i can paint my walls a diferent color but they're not coming off with water like they're suposed to.
i dont care how i can get them off, and i dont care if they're runied, i dont want 'em anymore anyways. i just want them OFF MY WALLS.

p.s. i cant sand them off because my walls are textured and that would ruin the walls.

Have you tried heat? Take a hair dryer and gently heat up the decal, this should soften up any adhesive that is there.

I believe you were on the other forum too? Plain White Vinegar is still my recommendation. Won't damage anything but the decals perhaps and works to release and dissolve the glue/adhesive on the back of the decal. Heat some in the microwave and if hot/warm, it will work even better. Sponge, rag or spray bottle.

If for some reason the vinegar does not work, then use 50/50 liquid fabric softener and warm water and a spray bottle. This or wall paper adhesive remover should do the trick on the decals. Washing the wall down after would be advisable prior to painting.

Make careful plans on the placement of your decal, measure carefully and use a level to help guide you. Note: The decals can be difficult to remove once they are on your surface so remember to plan ahead.Remember decals can be cut apart if need be, this can make installation easier. Note: If you do cut your decal apart make note of how the decal is reassembed, be sure to cut in smaller less obvious places and remember decals should be VERY slightly overlapped whan they are reassembled. Use a very sharp cutting instrument, (Exacto knife) and a straight edge for best results.
