My Minwax stain says allow 8 hours to dry, based on 77 degrees and 50% humidity. Well, it's 85 degrees and 18% humidity here, and the stain seems totally dry to the touch. But it's only been 4 hours. Think I'm safe to apply the first coat of poly around the 6 hour mark?
