Can beadboard, (wainscot) the kind that comes in a sheet be painted ?

Sure why not? You may get some help full info on painting it if you gave us more info. Is it already installed on the wall? Is it real unpainted wood or the cheap prefinished stuff? What room is it going in? joecaption

You may need to remove the sheen before painting it. Try sanding it down then priming and painting it. What color are you looking to use? You could probably just try acrylic Interior Paint for it.This message has been edited. Last edited by: henrylarry6,

4x8 beadboard is available in unfinished wood - just prime and paint like anything else. Jaybee
