Painting vinyl / steel front door. Sign In/Join
        posted
I want to paint our front door which is a vinyl covered steel door. I assume cleaning it with detergent to remove any grease, grime and dirt. What about paint - any suggestions as to the best to use? My web search so far says 1) if you do paint not necessarily going to have good results because of the vinyl and 2) if you do, use an all weather ultra premium aluminum/vinyl siding paint. Any help appreciated before I lift the brush to the door.

That pretty well says it - use a paint that is made for a slick finish, or use a slick finish primer first then top coat.
