My mother installed a pocket door that was primered from the company and she did not think to paint a color before it was hung. How would you paint it? Parts of it will still be seen. Spray it?

Remove the trim from one side of the strike side and the top of the jamb, slide the door closed and then remove the door. Paint and reinstall.

Or, get a small brush and paint the 'hidden' part of the door between the gap.

Hope you can keep the paint on your mom's pocket door. I have a pocket door that was nicely painted, now there are "skid marks" running horizontally at about the middle of the door. I don't know if all pocket doors rub a little, but mine sure does and it ruins the paint job.

There are small, adjustable teflon slides that you can add at the bottom or top of the door frame that will eliminate those skid marks.
