        It was on a recent show and we did not write down exact amounts. Was it turpintine and linseed oil???

        yeah, half and half. you could also use a tung oil sealer straight or cut by half.

        NOTE WELL that linseed oil in rags is a spontaneous fire hazard. burned out part of a Disaster House episode. they need to be stored in a sealed metal can until disposal, or, what I do with oily rags, is I put them in the side yard on a crud-gravel former trailer pad with a rock on them until they dry. they are shielded from view there and no threat.
