A relative of mine has galvanized drains in her double bowl laundry tub running into a cast iron stack. I would like to change that out to PVC. Its a double bowl laundry tub. I figured two ways of running the drain. The left drain would drain into a tail piece and a 90 then tee into the tailpiece from the right drain. Run another tail piece under the tee and into a j bend and waste arm and into the stack. Does this sound ok? Now since its galvanized steel would I use a no hub coupling at the stack to attach it to PVC?

laundry tub has a drain in the midle called a basket strainer....remove it and buy another
demo/remove all piping from sink to drain and replace to the basket strainer with pvc pipe sch 40 dwv
can you post a picture of it? or at least a drawing?
hook up tamdon sinks with a combo on its back so all drains are at same elevation. need picture
To connect pvc to galvanized pipe do I use a regular coupling or a no hub coupling?
you use a "mission" band,
steel pipe X pvc ask for it at a plumbing supply
they make different sizes so you have tpo know what your connecting
1 1/2 steel pipe X 1 1/2 pvc mission band
or 1 1/2 cast iron X 1 1/2 pvc
can these bans be connected directly to a pvc san tee fitting or do you need a piece of schedule 40 inside each end first before connecting the band?

I know the post is already been closed and sorry for that. Just wanted to know if someone here knows where to get PVC windows and shades near Perth. I have found this site http://coastwideshadesails.com...erproof-shade-sails/, they also offer PVC windows and shades, but their showroom is very far so I can see their actual product. Hopefully someone can guide me. Thanks.

Mission is one of the two prominent manufacturers of the rubber/steel sleeve transition fittings for drain use. drop the steel sleeve down, flop over the rubber, slide over the bottom pipe, under the top pipe, snap up the rubber. slide up the steel sleeve, tighten both Ideal-type compression clamps. leak test, party.
