        Hello- I need to replace unit due to split hose. I cannot loosen fitting under sink. Any suggestions?

        You may have to completely remove the sink just so you can get a good grip on the fitting. You could try spraying on some WD40 to see if that will cut through the corrosion but when connections get all cruddy like yours they are just hard to remove.

        instead of removing the sink, I'd replace the whole faucet assembly, and be done with the other corrosion and buildup issues it probably has, all at once.
