I have a Two hole faucet in my kitchen sink. It is a pull out with a separate handle. Can I replace this with a one hole configuration or am I 'stuck' with the two hole (on quartz counter top)?
The button on the pullout faucet is broken so I need to replace it.

you could get replacement parts for your existing faucet from the manufacturer. might even be free.

you can get a single-hole system and put in either a sprayer hose, or a soap dispanser (which always clogs,) or install a drinking water filter kit and use the second hole for the filtered water.

you could even put a 2-holer in there.

maybe code in your area requires an air break on the dishwasher or disposer which you don't have. now you can get legal without cutting another hole in your counter!

        lots of options.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

Most of the single-hole faucets come with a trim plate that can cover up your typical three-hole sink.
