Does such a device exist that can shut off water to the well pump in case of a flood? I am thinking something must exist that I can wire into the pressure switch and make it so that circuit (between the pump and pressure switch) is only allowed to close IF the basement is dry. Maybe a relay of some sort and a third party pressure sensor? Has anyone done this? Thanks.
Seems like you could do what you want with a simple relay & float switch set-up.
The float switches are most abundant but I would need to detect the presence of water well before more floats would turn upright. I have been googling and will update this thread if I find anything.
Really only need to shut off the water coming out of the pump.
Was that the correct link? Its of a circuit breaker.
