I am looking for a pressure canner with a dial guage either a 12 or 16 qt. I like presto. But since last time i bought one seems they have all gone up like 20 or more dollars. Can anyone tell me some places to check? I am on limited budget, if i have to wait til next year i will, but i would like to plant green beans to can this year. And also if i have a trellis that is about 108" long would this been long enough to get enough beans to can?

You might also check out Amazon.com, I also need to buy a pressure canner this year. The cheapest price I found was at WalMart.

can anyone tell me WHY we have to can under pressure? I have never canned that way before.
