Has anyone used the magnetic clasps? Is there any special tips to make sure the ring stays closed and doesn't open when opening the clasp. I don't have a sodering iron, would the jewelry glue work? Thank you for the help.
Maybe the ones I got were just not good quality, but the problem I had with them was that the magnet was not strong enough for heavier things, and would come undone even with lighter ones when doing things like putting on or taking off jackets, etc and straightening the collar, brushing hair, etc.
Also, each item with a magnetic clasp needs to be hung on its own hook, if you put other stuff there, the magnet that was so weak that it came off with your sweater suddenly develops great strength, and invites everything else to leap up on it and form a tangled mess.
Bracelets also came undone, and it was with sadness that I abandoned the magnetic clasp, because as a clumsy person with low vision, I had had high hopes for it.
I think maybe this may be an item that one has to buy in person, and run it through a battery of endurance tests prior to purchase.
Don't do like I did and blithely order a dozen of them online for a few dollars, and you will probably have a much more positive experience.
