from the Indian subcontinent perhaps? spammers, post your nation, so we can keep a map. be interesting to see where we should be retargeting our ICBMs....

Good one. Maybe we could get Iran and North Korea to volunteer to participate instead of flexing their muscles at us (and Israel).

And what's the status of the plane drop of spammers into Syria? There's enough of them here now for a good load.

Too bad a spam country can't be created where all the spammers and hackers could be relocated. It'd be a lot easier to target them if they were all together.

Watched a documentary last night on hackers. There were so many "experts" I lost track of them, but one of them stated that the hackers do use spam to try to lure unsuspecting folks into being targets.

If I understood correctly, this might be part of the D-DOS activities and the unauthorized use of individual computers for those kinds of attacks.

uh, GardenStater, you are assuming that I would put landing gear on the plane, or parachutes on the spammers. that would be an errant guess Wink

web weasels will do anything to get you to click into their beartraps... social engineering (Hi, this is Bob from accounting, we need to fix your record...) to drive-by ads that load malware onto your machine through Flash or Java (various come-ons.) we had a test lab director who introduced the "I Love You" virus into our company accidentally. good news is, a few of us dissected the virus and turned it around into screen-scrape, data isolation, and spreadsheet-making tools to watch the network :-D
