Help! I have purchased a claw foot tub, but the problem is that it has been sitting outside(CRAZY PERSON! )-So it has rust(at no charge!) Any help with this would be so great! Thanks

Try 'navel jelly'. No, it's not something you dig out of your navel , you can find it at the hardware store with the cleaning supplies. It's a thick, pink, jelly like stuff that you can goop on rust areas. Let it sit, then wipe away (instructions are on the bottle, of course). It really works well. I had a bad rust ring in the corner of my tub where a can of leg shaving gel rusted. I didn't discover it until right after I had been on vacation for a couple of weeks. It took a couple of times treating it, but it managed to get all but a little tiny spot off.

Mix together hydrogen peroxide and cream of tartar ( in spice aisle) to make a paste, let sit for a few minutes, then scrub w/ sponge ( the coarse side) . Guaranteed to work.
