What is the best way to get rid of mold in my kitchen cabinets?

i use 100% bleach. some others cut it by 50/50
get you a pump sprayer, fill with bleach
and spray the mold
this will kill mold that you see, but if your problem is worse than that.ie in the wall, behind sheet rock. you need to tear out and redo
i had a client that had mold behind the sink cabinet
we told her to remove cabinet and replace the rock and insulation
she, [fiesty little thing] drilled holes above the counter top,in the wall, about every 6 inchs, and poured bleach into the wall. she said it worked
i dont know, i never went back to her house

Do you know how and/or why the mold is accumulating? Are the cabinets on a North facing wall with little insulation? Is there water leakage?

It would be a good idea to determine why it's there so more mold doesn't grow after you've eliminated the existing crop.

You can put dishes of baking soda in the cabinets to absorb moisture; I've found that works well, but of course it's not a solution for removal of mold.

I agree. Bleach is a good way of getting rid of mold, especially if it's been there a while.

The cabinets are in a house that was build in 1964. Don't have the money to do a expense make over. Is it better to clean the mold out of the cabinets and see if it comes back or clean them, strip them and then re-stain them? Any ideas is greatly appreciated.

is it under a kitchen sink?
if so, chances are your sink needs to be recaulked
and by recaulking, i mean. pull the sink and caulk around it
not by just applying a bead around the sink, that does not work worth a tinkers damn
