i need to find a way to get crayon off the carpet...i live in a rental n my small children decided that it would be a good idea to color on the beige carpets with black crayon...any ideas?
There are several ways that MIGHT work, but as each situation is different, test as you try each one, so as to not make a larger mess? Below is a link that may possibly help? crayon removal
FindAnyFloor says to treat it as a wax stain. The best way to treat a wax stain is to place a brown paper bag (no print) or white paper towels over the stain. Run an iron (lowest setting) over the bag or paper towels. If it leaves a stain from the dye, use a bit of rubbing alcohol to remove it (test this first so you don't ruin the fibers).
DON"T USE HEAT it will open the fiber and alow the dye from the crayon to penetrate nd become permanent, heat is how the color is set at the mill when it's made. Try using a citrus product like Goo Gone a apply to a towel not directly to the carpet it could cause damage to the secondary backing. With a black crayon it may not be removed.
