Yesterday morning, I made blueberry pancakes. I used my nice square griddle pan. Somehow, on the last 4 that I put on the pan, I didn't get enough oil/butter on the pan...so when I flipped them over, the blueberries (which I had sprinkled on top of the pancakes) stuck to the the pan. I didn't not burn them but the berries sort of scorched/fused onto the pan. Once the pan cooled down, I let it soak all day. Still wouldn't come off. Last night, I put a dryer sheet on it & covered it with cool water. It still won't come off. It's like the blueberries fused to the non-stick surface (did I mention that the griddle is non-stick?). I've had the pan for a few years, but the non-stick stuff is still there. I only use it for frying pancakes & salmon patties. Maybe it's time to replace it???
Any suggestions anyone? Thanks & have a groovy day!

Hi Fuzzypeach,
My nonstick pans manufactor recommends using one or all of the following to clean stuck on food. They are Dawn, Joy, Soft Scrub with bleach or Bon Ami. I normally wash in hot water with Dawn and if that doesn't get it done I use the Bon Ami. The Bon Ami gets everything off and won't hurt the surface of the pan.

fuzzy peach...get a castiron flat skillet
season that dude real good. you wont have a sticking problem. but if you mess up and do
just stick it in the oven and burn the stuff off
then reseason. and off you go

Ohhh! That's what I want! Maybe Santa will bring me one! Or heck, maybe I'll go ahead & get one this weekend! There's an ACE hardware store here is town that just might have one. Thanks for the suggestion.
BTW...I tried the Bon Ami, didn't help. I realize that the 'non-stick' surface is about gone. I ended up letting it soak in cold water with a dryer sheet, then scraping what I could off with my handy-dandy thumb nail. (I'm hell on my nails, thank God they are strong. Must be all that milk I drink.) Anyway, I haven't tossed the pan away, but will have to do just that one of these days.
