I was hoping to find some one with a solution to remove paw prints from hard wood floors. I have Brazilian cherry floors with a polyurethane cover. These floors are brand new and have never been waxed. With two dogs I can never get the paw prints up. I have used orange glo, water and vinegar, bona and murphy's oil. Dogs sweat through their feet therefore leaving behind a oily print. My own feet do not leave a print. Any help would be greatly appreciated
I use Bruce Hardwood cleaner, available at Home Depot. It's so much better than any other brand I've used. My dog leaves prints every day and I just bring out my flat cloth mop, spray with the cleaner, and wipe it right up...5 minutes tops.

IF you have a polyurethane coating then don't wax them. It's two different finishes. Oil soap can streak them also, and the only way to get that up is to sand them.
If you have new hardwoods, more than likely you have polyurethane coating.
Orange Glo, Murphy's Oil Soap and other "wow look how beautiful your floor will be" brands WILL void your warranty on your beautiful, new floors.
By using those products you have ruined your floors.
Read your manufacturers guidelines for what to use on your floors. I own a cleaning business - the ONLY products I use is Bona Kemi and Bruce Hardwood Floor cleaner. On a daily basis all that is needed is water in a spray bottle and a microfiber mop.
The only correction I know of is re-sanding and re-coating.
