sagging door jams in winter Sign In/Join

Need some expertise. Every Winter two doors in our Master move out of alignment. Both doors are along the same joist in the ceiling. At the worst point, the doors get so bad, they won't even close - hitting the door jam. Any ideas what's causing it or how to fix the problem?

If you have attic space above your master, then I'd bet the problem is in your roof trusses.

All too often the bottom cord of all the trusses is not attached to any mid-truss walls below or there is the need for some extra cross bracing between trusses. Net result is that the trusses flex during changes from hot to cold and either lift or compress the ceiling and framing.

We fixed one house with this that was so bad that we had to make up 10' long threaded rods that went up through the basement floor framing, inside the interior wall and were attached to the trusses above. Once you securely brace the trusses, then you can adjust your doors for that set and it should be good summer and winter.

It can also be something as simple as the doors were never primed and painted so as the humity level changes the door change size.
Shrink swell soils can cause piers or supports under the house to lift and fall.
Sure it's not something as simple as loose screws in the hindges?
