I have my big bay window, and two standard windows that have wood rot on the bottom of the lower windows. Obviously its from the rain, and previous owner not maintaining them.
Whats the easy solution, replace the entire lower unit, or have the window lower frame repaired? Same for bay window, can they just replace the lower wood frame? What kind of costs am i looking at?

Without a picture at least not sure how anyone can even guess.
All the old wooden ones I've worked on were just not worth saving.
I replaced them with a vinyl bow window instead of a bay window. It hangs out away from the wall less is far less likly to sag and leak.
