I have several problems around the door-way. First,I have a front door that only closes with a lot of force. Second, I have about a foot plus between the storm door and the actual door, I don't even know what to call it. And it leaks, I tried repairing it, patching the ceiling portion, installing a particle board piece and caulking there then caulking around the outside. I need some direction as to what repairs I should do to fix these issues permanently. Thanks.

Can you post some pictures, it would help to picture what is going on, pun intended.

But first place to start is to inspect the hinges, are they tight or are they loose. Are there any splits in the wood on the hinge side?
