I am trying to source one latch/lock for some older early model 50's metal frame windows. The latch is slighly spring-loaded and is held onto the moving part of the window by two sm screws and when the window shuts, it clicks and locks in the center of the window frame by a horizontal slit about 2" long. To open the window, you lightly pull up and out and can feel the light resistant of the spring, then lift up...The latch seems to be made of aluminum. I need at least one of these and trying to determine where/if I can get one? If you PM me and send me your email, I can send you a couple of pictures I took with my iphone. If you have any suggestions, it would be immensely appreciated. regards, tstex

do you know the window manufacturer? if they are still around, or there was a technology transfer to another outfit, the hardware may be on a shelf waiting for you to order it. sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
