        Hey,

I just bought my first home and I am going to use reclaimed pallet boards to cover a plaster wall in my kitchen. What is the best way to attach the boards to plaster?

        Thanks!

with the spatters and grease particles in the air, this will become a nasty mating spot for flies before too much time goes by. nailing up raw boards is not appetizing to me.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?

swschrad, the kitchen is pretty large and the wood boards are going to be in the other end of the space from the appliances. They will also be painted white so it will not be open porous wood boards.

in which case, 18 or 16 gauge brad nailers would be my tool of choice. I'd back the nails up with construction adhezive if this is really a lath and plaster wall.

Pallets are made of hardwood so good luck trying to drive small nails into them.
Has this wood already been removed so you do not have to pull the nails?
If not you may want to just try getting the nails out to even begin thinking about getting enough to cover a wall.
Plus your going to have to deal with triming around window, door and baseboards, and having the look of a seam every 4' or so.
I'd paint the wall behind the boards close to the color you going to use as a finish because there is going to be gaps that will show through.
