        New window inside jamb has slice

        New building under construction and the windows are double hung but each side jamb has a slice through it. The contractor and he stated they all came like that. I attached a picture that I found online that is similar. Now the cut in our window is a cleaner cut but regardless, is this normal for a new window? I've never seen this before, nor has my husband & he's hung windows many times.

        I've never seen that either. Why not just make a quick call to the window manufacturer.

        I thought all the ultrasonic welds were made at corners. regardless, those are defectives and should be replaced under warranty.

        New one on me to and I've installed thousands of windows and dozens of differant brands.
        Looks like a nice place for air and water leaks.
