I just replaced a triple window, and now I want to see if I can find a way to adjust the shades without drilling into the window frames. The attached photo shows what I mean. I have a cleat screwed into the wood frame of the right window, but I am trying to avoid drilling into the new frames of the other two windows. (Right now I am holding up the shades by closing those pulls in the windows, as you can see.)

Is there something I can attach to the pulls to let me adjust them without needing to wrap them around a cleat?

3M makes those Command adhesive hooks that do not damage surfaces and can cleanly be removed. Perhaps one or two of those mounted to the frame could do the job?

Thanks for that idea. I did try sticking the cleats onto the frames with heavy double sided tape. That did not last. Those hooks might hold better.

Conrad, following up, I purchased some of the Command hooks to try out, but then I saw their picture hanging strips, which are rated at a pretty high holding strength. I tried them first, and just attached the cleats to the frames with those strips. So far, they are holding, even in the bathroom.
