Looking to remove a load bearing wall on a prefab home, between the kitchen and living room, is it possible to do so, the open area will be 15ft, should 1 or 2 headers be added in parallel, what size of header is recommended

get out your blueprint and seek a professional engineer. prefabs are a unique animal, in that each module is highly dependent on the one it attaches to.

you would need temporary supports able to bear full load during the remodel, and you need to put that load on good downward support from the end points. if that point load is not fully supported all the way down to the foundation and footers, creak, creak, crash.

sig: if this is a new economy, how come they still want my old-fashioned money?
