Windows that are different Heights
We are installing windows that are two different heights (Trying to save money and reusing windows). My question is should you make the top of the windows the same or the bottom. Thank you for your posts!

Are any of the windows in rooms where children would have access to them?
If so, I would want those windows higher rather than lower, so that the bottoms were even but the tops were not.

Or you could center the windows on each other, so the tops and bottoms don't line up, but the middle does. Use your 'design' abilities to 'see' what it will look like. You can also use blue masking tape and tape it out to visually see it. But for an egress window the sill is not allowed to be any higher than 44 inches from finished flooring. And any windows close to floor level have to be tempered glass, also windows near doors.

The general rule is to line up the tops - at 6' - 10" off the floor.
