Updating our bathroom. The wife hates tiles so was wondering what other material options are there to waterproof the walls of our shower area.

Stock fiberglass shower, solid surface sheets like cultured marble or Silestone, real stone sheets or tile.

Solid surface it nice but fairly expensive, real stone even more so.

We replaced a tile shower with Swanstone (an easy to clean solid surface...like Corian) No regrets.

We used Swanstone too. Great product. The matching or coordinated recessed shelves and/or corner soap dish add function and interest.
